No one guessed six numbers correctly in Monday’s Powerball lottery game and won the $1.5 billion jackpot, according to NBC News. As a result, the total value of Wednesday’s drawing has risen to $1.73 billion.

The jackpot amount has been increasing since July, when someone last won the top prize in the Powerball lottery game, NBC News continued. The odds of getting all six numbers correct are one in 292.2 million.

Powerball’s record jackpot is $2.04 billion

If Wednesday’s jackpot is won, it would be the second largest in Powerball history. The previous Powerball record was from November of last year, when a player cashed a $2.04 billion winning ticket in Southern California. Powerball tickets are available in all 45 states including Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Also available in the Virgin Islands.

Despite the fanfare, lottery officials urged players not to be carried away. “Playing Powerball or any other game offered by the California Lottery can be fun — an easy and fun way to support a good cause,” said a California Lottery spokesperson. “Players should not play beyond their budget or with borrowed money.”
