Sane inspires Nagelsmann and Klopp! Liverpool are interested in the Bayern star

There is no player as passionate about football in Germany at the moment as Leroy Sane!

During Julian Nagelsmann’s debut match against the USA (3-1), the Bayern Munich star continued his recent strong performances at the club (7 goals in 11 official matches).

The national coach praised Sané ahead of the clash with Mexico in Philadelphia: “I’m happy that he’s performing well now at Bayern and also performing well for us. He simply has great qualities, good ideas, a very good goalscorer. He’s in a very good mood.”

Nagelsmann is not the only star coach who has been hugely impressed by Sane.

Sport1 Reports from England that Liverpool are monitoring the 27-year-old can be confirmed. His name is on Jurgen Klopp’s list in the increasingly likely event Mohamed Salah turns his back on the Reds after the current season at the latest.

The Egyptian star had received a tempting offer from Saudi Arabia since the summer, which he really liked. Liverpool officials assume that it will not be possible to keep him in 2024. Sane can play his role on the right wing individually. However, Liverpool still have other candidates in mind.

The topic is not hot yet. after Sport1-Sani is currently not thinking much about his future and wants to focus on his achievements. He feels comfortable in Munich both professionally and personally and sees Bayern as his first point of contact.

Sporting director Christoph Freund announced ahead of the German Football Association’s international trip to the United States that he wanted to reach out to Sane’s squad as soon as possible. It’s clear to Bayern: they want to quickly extend the contract with the winger, which runs until 2025 – also in order to frustrate potential interested parties next summer, such as Liverpool, in time.

“We will certainly have discussions in the next few weeks. He is an exceptionally good player, a key player, and it would be great if he stayed in Munich for a long time,” Freund confirmed.

Sane moved from Manchester City to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has appeared on the pitch 144 times for the record champions, collecting 82 points scored (45 goals / 37 assists).

If it continues as before, more will be added – and if Bayern bosses succeed in achieving their goal, then beyond 2025!

Thomas Tuchel could also play an important role in his future decision. Sane deals excellently with the Bayern coach. But he had and still has a good relationship with his predecessor Nagelsmann.

“We had a long conversation at the beginning, just like when I was at Bayern,” Nagelsmann said on Tuesday. “I’m also still very convinced of him as a person. I hope that Leroy maintains his current level until the summer, that he has the key to himself and can deliver this performance consistently. I’m in good spirits!”
