Ahead of his short trip in his official capacity, the 46th President of the United States enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach in his home state of Delaware yesterday, Saturday (July 9).
The 80-year-old, accompanied by his wife Jill Biden (72) and granddaughter Finnegan Biden (22), visited a public beach near Rehoboth Beach, always surrounded by a group of Secret Service agents.

Biden was photographed heading into the ocean wearing a blue sea turtle-pattern swimsuit. He also wore a white polo shirt, a blue hat, and distinctive aviator sunglasses. The Bidens then sat comfortably in chairs by the sea. The US President was engrossed in a book while Secret Service agents scanned other beachgoers with a metal detector. Joe and Jill Biden have owned an oceanfront home in the coastal city of Rehoboth Beach for about six years. “Our entire careers, Jill and I have dreamed of being able to buy a house on the beach so we could have the whole family,” Biden said in the past, according to the Daily Mail. The presidential family’s private residence is located in Wilmington, about 160 kilometers away.
