On November 14, 2023, King Charles celebrated his 75th birthday, and DooH – in the form of Ocean Outdoor and owner of Picadilly Lights Landsec – did not fail to congratulate the holder of the British Crown. At 5:30 p.m., tourists and passengers at Piccadilly Circus saw the message “Happy 75th Birthday to Your Majesty.”
Meanwhile, the 10-minute ad focused on Food coronation project The interest had previously been officially launched by the King and Queen. It aims to close the gap between food waste and food demand in all four nations of the UK.

The Christmas message has been arranged by The Felix Project, London’s largest food rescue charity, which is supporting the project alongside Fareshare. The spot space was donated by Landsec, and the animation was designed by The Maverick Group, which has been creatively supporting the Felix Project on a pro bono basis since 2021.
The Christmas message included a new photo of the King, taken for this occasion by the famous British photographer Rankin. It also featured the new logo for the Coronation Food Project, designed by Sir Jony Ive and his creative group Lovefrom.
Derek Mann, Head of Marketing at Landsec, comments: “The Piccadilly Lights play a crucial role in drawing attention to important issues. We are delighted to be using the Piccadilly Lights to celebrate the launch of the Coronation Foods Project and spread the message across our retail sites across the UK.
