The Ukrainian leader congratulated David Cameron on his new role as Foreign Secretary, and thanked him for making his first visit as Ukraine’s new Foreign Minister and for the UK’s steadfast support for Ukraine.
The President highly appreciated the cooperation with Great Britain in the field of defense cooperation, which allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to effectively defend themselves against attacks by the occupiers, especially thanks to long-range weapons.
The security situation in the Black Sea and the continued operation of the grain corridor were also discussed.
The interlocutors coordinated their positions on the implementation of multifaceted joint initiatives. It concerns the Ukrainian peace formula and security initiatives of the G7 countries at the NATO summit in Vilnius, when a joint declaration on support for Ukraine was adopted.
Particular attention was paid to Euro-Atlantic integration and Britain’s support for Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
