Ice Hockey Tour Facts: Samuel Ernes’ dream goal in Kloten
Langenau defender Samuel Erne scored the “Goal of the Year” in Kloten. These are the facts from Saturday’s ice hockey round.
Samuel Ernie! A 32-year-old defender, who in 13 years in the National League scored only 3 goals in one season (and none at all in several seasons), surprised Kloten goalkeeper Juha Metsola with the “Michigan move”. This tactic is so named because Mike Legg scored such a goal for the first time for the University of Michigan in the 1996 All-American College Final. In the “Michigan Move”, the player behind the goal loads the puck onto the blade of his stick and directs the puck into the net from behind the goal.
Samuel Erne made it 1-0 for the SCL Tigers in Kloten after 13 minutes. In Switzerland, Thomas Derung scored such a goal in the final against Bern’s Marco Buhrer in April 2010. At the time, Erne was still playing in the youth team, and it was not until the following autumn that he made his Frauenfeld debut for Zug.

In addition, Langenau goalkeeper Stefan Charlin made 32 saves in his first shutout of the season, and the second of his National League career. The SCL Tigers have scored points in five straight games for the first time in four years (!) (4 wins).
New Spenger in the club
St. Leonard Arena tickets are sold out, the host team from Freiburg wins the first match against Bern.:. And defends the lead in the table. Despite Gutieron’s six straight wins, it was all about Julian Sprunger on Saturday. Sprunger played his 1,000th match in the National League against Bern and reached the “Club of a Thousand” as the 16th player. It means the 37-year-old, who has played his entire career only for Gotteron, is guaranteed a place in the Swiss Hockey Hall of Fame. Nathan Marchon and Lucas Wallmark scored the goals for Freiburg, and Marco Lehmann closed the gap for Bern in the final period with his fourth goal this season.
The beginning of the flash
EV Zug made short work of Lausanne (.:.). Zug won the last two matches against Lausanne 5-0 and 6-0. On Saturday at the Hertie Arena the score was 2-0 after six minutes and 5-0 after the first half. Only three times – and no more in the last 14 years – has EVZ started the third period with a 5-0 lead (most recently on 6 January 2009 in Biel). Lino Marchini scored three goals and provided an assist for Zug, and Lausanne goalkeeper Ivars Poninov did not make himself known in order to reclaim the missing No. 1 position from Connor Hughes. After an unsuccessful start to the season, Zug won seven of its last nine matches. And by the way: the record lead after the first third since the start of the qualifiers (1985) is held by HC Davos, who led 8-0 against Freiburg after 20 minutes on 28 January 1989.
Davos wins at home
The HC Davos conference concluded with .:. He won a series of three straight matches at home against HC Lugano. Davos narrowly lost the first two home matches in the series against Lausanne and Bern. Sandro Aeschlimann (xx saves) got his first shutout of the season, and had two last season. He clearly won the duel against Lugano’s Mikko Koskinen (who didn’t look good when conceding the second goal). At HCD, Enzo Corvi made his first appearance of the season after injury (1 assist).
The new edition of the last final was won by the Genève-Servette Hockey Club again against EHC Biel, albeit only on penalties. Bale took the lead twice, but were unable to defend their 1-0 and 2-1 leads. Servette needed just 54 seconds to equalize. Servet won the penalty shootout 3-1. Bale has already lost four penalties this season; The New Zealanders even lost their last two matches to Langenau and Embry Piota 0:3. While Servet won all of its previous matches at home at Les Vernets ice rink, Biel lost for the sixth time in the wings and even for the eighth time in the last nine rounds. (seda)
