At a White House conference on Wednesday, Biden reiterated the goal of ending hunger in the United States and reducing the number of diet-related diseases by 2030. Biden spoke of “ambitious goals” and emphasized, “I know we can do it.”

According to the White House, donors include fast-food chain Burger King, industrial giant General Electric, and the Restaurant Association of America.
The US government wants, among other things, to give more children access to free school meals — and to improve the quality of school meals. There should also be better information about healthy food and more opportunities to exercise.
In the United States, approximately 42 percent of adults are considered severely overweight. At the same time, about 10 percent of all households are food insecure.
