System requirements make DLSS and FSR 2 mandatory for Full HD and 30fps

Survival horror game Alan Wake 2, developed by Finnish development studio Remedy Entertainment and distributed by publisher Epic Games, is now making a name for itself with its extremely challenging, even minimal, hardware system requirements of Full HD (“1080p”) and 30 fps. In addition to minimal graphics detail, it requires upscaling in the form of Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR 2 on relatively powerful graphics cards, for example a Radeon RX 6600 or Geforce RTX 2060.

Alan Wake 2 is designed to improve the techniques

Players who want to play Alan Wake 2, which according to the developer has been developed to be a “30fps experience,” in Full HD at 60fps, will need at least an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or a fast Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 and will also need Upgrade. Via DLSS or FSR 2 in the Performance preset. For 4K, at least a Radeon RX 7800 XT or Geforce RTX 4070 is required, which is considered equivalent, and of course combined with Performance Mode Upscaling.

Ray tracing tops the requirements

If you want to play Alan Wake 2 with real-time ray tracing, you need to have a powerful system with a minimum of 30 fps at Full HD resolution, which is accelerated by an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT or an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070. In this constellation, no Ray tracing can only be turned on with the lowest presets and an average level of detail.

Geforce RTX 4080 and DLSS for track tracking

In order to use track tracing, at least a Geforce RTX 4080 is required, and even then, DLSS 3 is required in the performance preset to reach 60fps. The processor plays only a secondary role in all the presets so the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X is enough anyway.
