The tourist islands of the Canary Islands were hit by a tropical storm, which severely affected air traffic.
More than 250 flights to islands located in the Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Africa and between islands have been canceled, according to Spanish airport operator Aina.

The Aena website has listed flights as canceled or severely delayed. The regional government said the storm alert status could likely be raised again on Monday afternoon.
