RWO: That’s what happened to Michaels in Bulgaria and Wenzel in the US

With Leroy Mickles and Michael Wentzel, Rot-Weiss Oberhausen sold players abroad over the past winter break. This is how the duo currently works.

Rot Weiss Oberhausen Lost again last weekend after four matches unbeaten. The score was 0:2 after 90 minutes at the Stadion Niederrhein against SV Rödinghausen.

Many RWO fans may have thought of returning to Leroy Mickles and Michael Wentzel. Because in the first half of the season, the duo was still an important part of the coach’s squad Mike Terranova.

But Mickels and Wentzel have been playing abroad for a few weeks – RevierSport reported these transfers.

Michels moved to Bulgaria. There he goes down the table in League One to score. For his new club Spartak Varna, the attacking player completed two matches over the entire season. Varna lost 2-1 to Ludogorets Razgrad and separated from Hebar Pazardzhik without a goal. Michaels, 27, was not involved in any goal.

Meanwhile, Wenzel joined the reserve team at major club St. Louis City. However, the 20-year-old defender will have to be patient on his debut. Because the league is currently temporarily suspended in the United States.
