Lot: Polish Airlines opens first non-European lounge

The Polish airline wants to open its first lounge in the United States of America. The 617-square-meter lounge at Chicago O’Hare Airport is scheduled to be operational early fall of next year.

The ambitious airline, which is also a member of the Star Alliance, wants to aim high in the next few years. In this regard, it is planning its first airport lounge outside Europe Business travelers mentioned.

Big plans for the coming years

The ambitious Polish airline is on a growth path and aims to rapidly grow its fleet. LOT wants to expand by 110 aircraft over the next five years. This will be a doubling, aiming to increase the number of passengers by 70 percent, in addition to introducing new routes. As part of this, the airline is relying on a comprehensive, modern concept that aims to put passengers at the center with greater comfort, style and enhanced technology. To this end, LOT plans to refurbish its seats in all cabin classes of its Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The Dreamliner aircraft will be completely revamped, and the new long-haul business class in particular will receive a notable upgrade. At the same time, LOT would like to pursue social responsibility and sustainable transformation.
