We should be somewhat accustomed to the special weather conditions by now. After all, the dust of the Sahara in Switzerland loves to color the sky orange. But what if the sky suddenly shone in its deepest green? This is what happened in Sioux Falls, USA.
What looks like an alien invasion or a new season of “Stranger Things” is actually a weather phenomenon that sometimes occurs in conjunction with storms. Scientists still have only guesses as to why this is so.

The green sky photos from my family in Sioux Falls were amazing! I had to look up that fun green cloud infographic I made back in the day. Hail reports aren’t too big right now, but storms are packed with intense moisture in this warm, tropical environment. #sdwx #IAwx pic.twitter.com/S39JLSRfEu
