Group Three: England qualified

England have qualified early for the 2024 European Championship in Germany. Gareth Southgate’s side are no longer able to slip out of first place thanks to their 3-1 win over Italy. In a hugely entertaining match at Wembley, the visitors took the lead from the start. Gianluca Scamaca completed a brilliant combination down the right wing to make it 1-0. The guests also had several good opportunities to score afterwards. The next goal went to the Three Lions. After Jude Bellingham was brought down by Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the penalty area, Harry Kane scored confidently from the penalty spot. After a brilliant counter-attack by Marcus Rashford to make it 2-1, Kane went one better and scored to make the final score 3-1 (77th), the 60th and 61st goals in the star striker’s 87th cap.

Therefore, Italy must continue to be afraid to participate in the European Championship. “Squadra Azzurra” is back now It was hit by a betting scandal and – in one less match – got 3 points less than Ukraine.

The Ukrainians achieved a mandatory victory over Malta with a score of 3-1. The match started with a shock for the favourites: Joseph Mbong surprisingly gave Malta the lead in the 12th minute. A bizarre goal from Ryan Camenzoli brought Ukraine back into the game a few minutes before half-time. Finally, Artem Daubek (43′) and Michajlo Modric (85′) turned the match on its head.

Group G:

Hungary suddenly surrendered in Lithuania. After trailing 0-2, Barnabas Varga saved the group’s leaders from a draw in the 82nd minute. Liverpool striker Dominik Szoboszlai had previously scored the goal from a penalty kick. Hungary is 6 points ahead of third-placed Montenegro, two rounds before the end, and can secure a ticket to the European Championship in the next match against Bulgaria.

  • Serbia – Montenegro 3:1

In Belgrade, Serbia took a big step towards qualifying for the European Championship. Aleksandar Mitrovic, active in Saudi Arabia, left his mark on the match with his fourth and fifth goals this season. Already in the ninth minute he scored a 1-0 lead with the outside of his foot. Montenegro captain Stefan Jovetic brilliantly equalized to make it 1-1 before the end of the first half. With a double strike between the 73rd and 77th minutes, Mitrovic and Dusan Tadic broke the resistance of the outside team. Serbia is now one point away from leaders Hungary, but has played one more match.

Group Eight: Slovenia and Denmark are at the top

  • Northern Ireland – Slovenia 0-1

Slovenia continues to lead the Group H table. Against Northern Ireland, Adam Nezda Cerin’s wonderful goal in the fifth minute was enough to get the three points.

  • San Marino – Denmark 1:2

Like Slovenia, Denmark also made a big step towards the European Championship thanks to a narrow away win in San Marino. The 1992 European champions had to bite the bullet for a long time, and Yusuf Poulsen’s winning goal only came in the 70th minute.

  • Finland – Kazakhstan 1:2
