China’s ambassador condemns the UK’s baseless accusations against Xinjiang

China strongly condemns and rejects the baseless allegations made by Britain, in consultation with the United States and a small group of countries, against China in the Third Committee of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly regarding human rights issues in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Definitely coming back. The Chinese Ambassador to Britain, Zheng Zeguang, confirmed this in a statement.

Zheng Zeguang said on Thursday that the British side, ignoring China’s strong opposition, issued a so-called joint statement on Xinjiang in the Third Committee, groundlessly accusing China of interfering in China’s internal affairs.

The ambassador said that the British side is trying to distort China’s image by exaggerating the so-called human rights problems in Xinjiang and spreading lies and disinformation in the Third Committee. However, the UK’s lies have long since been exposed, and its attempt is doomed to failure.

The ambassador urged the British side to adhere to the principles of mutual respect, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit to promote the strong and steady development of China-UK relations.
