Canadian rap star Drake announced that he will stop working for health reasons. On Friday, the 36-year-old rapper said on the “Table For One” radio show that he would take a break “for a year or more” in order to “get back on his feet.”

“It’s nothing serious,” but he’s had “all kinds of weird stomach problems” for years and now wants to take care of his health.

Drake continued that he “won’t be making music for a while,” and also spoke about the commitments he wanted to make to people “that I promised things to.”

Five-time Grammy Award winner Drake announced his hiatus hours after the release of his new album For All The Dogs. It was initially unclear whether the reprieve would also affect concerts that had already been planned. (CDU/AFP)
