King Charles III must wait – speculation about the coronation date
King Charles III still has to wait for his coronation.

London. Even if it was King Charles III. (73), who took office as the new King of the United Kingdom on September 23, no date has yet been set for his coronation. Bloomberg News recently cited “British officials” and wrote that the ceremony will take place on June 3, 2023 in Westminster Abbey.

A Buckingham Palace source has now distanced himself from the rumours. “Without giving any additional information, I can assure you that no date has yet been agreed or agreed upon,” the palace insider told Britain’s Daily Mail.
Operation Golden Orb is in full swing
However, Operation Golden Orb, planning for the coronation, was well underway. As the Daily Mail report says, “The decision and announcement will be made in due course.” However, two things are already clear: Service cannot be expected until next spring. In addition, it should be much cheaper and shorter than it was with Charles’s deceased mother, Queen Elizabeth II, about 70 years ago. The insider was quoted as saying that the goal was to “reflect the country’s religious and cultural diversity in the coronation and announce a major departure from his mother’s coronation.”

King Charles III is said to have been 74 years old at the time expected to be crowned, his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, 76. The ceremony will also ensure his wife’s place in history.
