Vienna (OTS) – In the presence of Sabine Haag, Director General of the KHM Museum Association, Austria’s Ambassador to Korea, Wolfgang Angerholzer, presented the Austrian Cross of Honor for Sciences and Arts in Seoul last Friday.
Federal President Alexander van der Bellen presented the award to two Korean cultural directors: Yoon Sung-young, Director-General of the National Museum of Korea, and Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of the Korean Business Newspaper. korea economic daily, whose great personal commitment was essential to the extraordinary overall success of the Great Exhibition Six centuries of beauty in the Habsburg Empire Contributed.
This outstanding show, created in cooperation with the Museum of Art History and with the active support of the Austrian Embassy in Seoul, was on display at the National Museum of Korea from October 25, 2022 to March 15, 2023. Director General Haag delivered a ceremonial eulogy for the Director General of the National Museum of Korea, and the Ambassador addressed the patron. In her speech, Sabine Haag particularly emphasized the fruitful scientific cooperation between the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the National Museum of Korea and emphasized the excellent educational and particularly aesthetic display of art objects from Vienna at the National Museum in Seoul.
The Austrian Cross of Honor for Sciences and Arts is awarded by the Austrian Head of State for outstanding achievements in the fields of sciences and arts.
