Delta Airlines launches Air + Rail at ZRH

American airline Delta Air Lines is expanding its airline and rail program in Europe. From Zurich Airport, passengers can fly to seven cities in Switzerland using SBB.

As part of Delta Airlines’ airline and rail program, travelers can easily travel by train to their final destination after the flight without having to book a separate ticket. When booking a flight, the final destination can be specified directly. Delta Air Lines is now also offering this program from Zurich Airport, according to a press release.

Seven destinations from Zurich – Geneva from April 2023

Last year, Delta Air Lines offered rail services to and from Amsterdam for the first time. Swiss has been offering this multimedia service for some time in cooperation with SBB under the name “Swiss Air Rail”. From now on, Delta Air Lines will also offer such an offer to passengers in Switzerland. When booking a flight, travelers can select their final destination they want to reach by train. Delta Airlines offers a total of seven destinations from Zurich, which can be selected during the booking process. In addition to Basel, Bern and Chur, trains to Grinchen, Lausanne, Lucerne and St Gallen can also be booked. Alain Bellemare, Head of Delta International, also highlights the benefits:

Building more airlines and railways in our schedule provides greater choice of destinations for our customers, including a number of these cities not currently served by Delta or our European partners, such as Bern, Rotterdam and York. Expanding our presence in Europe also makes it more convenient for clients to reach popular city center locations whether they are traveling for business or leisure to make the most of their time away. – Alain Bellemare
