Asobo and Microsoft with a new roadmap

from Thilo Bayer
At the end of the year, Asobo and Microsoft published an update to the roadmap. There is content planning that continues until the end of January.

Although the release of Flight Simulator 2024 is slowly approaching, developer Asobo and publisher Microsoft have once again published a new roadmap update for Flight Simulator 2020.

Updates for the coming months

Last week, PCGH reported on planning for the coming weeks. Global Update 15, which deals with Northern Europe and Greenland, will launch on November 7. Then Microsoft and Asobo will also publish Local Legend 13: Saab B 17. There will be a developer live stream on Twitch for the last time this year in November. On November 29 it is about future updates and possibly also about Flight Simulator 2024.

The rough planning for December 2023 and January 2024 has already been determined. So it should be December 5th. Sim 14 update is ready to go. After trying out Sim Update 13, it would be a little surprising if it’s possible to keep history. Shortly before Christmas, specifically on December 19, City Update 05 can be expected. It is not yet known which city will be completely renovated. With City Update 04, five cities in Western Europe have been revised, as well as the addition of Germany’s Cologne/Bonn Airport.

After a short creative break, I should continue with World Update 16 in January, probably at the end of the month. The roadmap can then be expected to be updated again by April 2024. Here is an overview of the upcoming updates:

  • November 7, 2023: Global Update 15
  • November 29, 2023: Live stream for developers
  • December 5, 2023: Sim Update 14
  • December 19, 2023: City Update 05
  • January 2024: Global Update 16
