Free screening of Life of Pi tonight in Weston

LivePi_VertThe Friends of the Weston Public Library are hosting a free screening tonight of the Oscar-winning film, Life of Pi.

The film is a 3D- live action/computer-animated adventure drama based on Yann Martel’s novel Life of Pi. The storyline revolves around a 16-year old Indian boy named Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel, who survives a shipwreck in which his family dies, and is stranded in the Pacific Ocean on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.

The film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and won four, including Best Director for Ang Lee.

The screening starts at 7 p.m. in the library’s community room.
