‘War of 1812’ lecture series wraps up Wednesday at library

weston-library-entranceThe Weston Historical Society, in collaboration with the Weston Public Library, has been sponsoring an evening lecture series covering various topics relating to the War of 1812.

Subjects have included the causes and impact of that war, the war and Connecticut, the Battle of New Orleans, and more. The series is free, and all are welcome to attend.

The final lecture will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the library on Norfield Road, with Professor Mark Albertson, who will discuss America and Europe during the War of 1812.
