The Weston High boys indoor track team took sixth out of 29 teams with 34 points at the state Class M finals on Thursday at Hillhouse High in New Haven.
New Fairfield was the winner with 57. East Lyme was runner-up with 42 and host Hillhouse was a close third with 40.
Weston earned a bronze medal or better in three relays. It placed third in the 4×200 meter relay with Bryan Lonergan, Oliver Parker, Chris Petty and Simeon Okoro finishing in one minute, 36.46 seconds. It was second in the 4×400 with Noah Krassin, Patrick Baber, David Stankiewicz and Okoro running a 3:36.65. Krassin, James Murphy, Will Glaser and Stankiewicz combined to take second in the 4×00 in 8:20.23.
Also earning a silver medal, Larry Cass was second in the shot put with a toss of 47 feet, 4.5 inches.
