The Trojans also had their hands full three days later when they competed in the Pomperaug duals. Only a few wrestlers went home with wins as they fell 46-21 to the hosts and 77-6 to New Fairfield.
Weston was at a disadvantage at a number of weight groups, having to forfeit four to the former and seven to the latter.
Only four Weston wrestlers got victories that day. Valin had one at 152 pounds, pinning Pomperaug’s Nick Civitello in 4:54.
