Weston Holiday Gingerbread Brunch includes food, crafts, and cheer

The Gingerbread Holiday Brunch, hosted by the Weston Women’s League (WWL), will take place at La Roue Elayne at Cobb’s Mill Inn in Weston on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11 to 2.

This free event to benefit the Weston Warm-Up Fund includes a light continental breakfast with live music, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and multiple opportunities to donate to the Weston Warm-Up Fund.

For instance, a $10 craft ticket will allow the purchaser to complete three holiday crafts. Attendees may try their luck with raffle tickets to win fun, practical and delicious prizes. Donations to the Giving Tree will also be accepted at the event.

Additionally, the league will be collecting gently worn adult- or child-sized winter wear, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots, to donate to those in need.

Weston’s most beloved holiday celebration started over 30 years ago as Breakfast with Santa, and then it became the Children’s Holiday Brunch. In 2011, the event evolved into the Gingerbread Holiday Brunch. This year the Weston Women’s League is re-imagining it as an all-ages event open to the entire community.

There will be no entrance fee for the fun event at this new location, and attendees will have ample opportunities to spread the holiday cheer.

The Weston Women’s League is a social and charitable organization dedicated to helping neighbors in need.
