With 93% of the town still without power and town and utility crews busy clearing roads of trees and downed wires, the town is requesting no trick-or-treating on neighborhood roads.

Instead, there will be a “Trunk-or-Treat” event set up at Weston Intermediate School, Wednesday, Oct. 31, for Halloween. Families are advised to bring candy while kids go from car to car.  The hours of  “Trunk-or-Treat” are 4 to 6 p.m.

A comfort station at Weston High School is open today from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Private showers, potable water, and charging outlets will be available.

All town offices and services, including the library, will be open today at noon. The senior center is on the school schedule and is closed.

Weston schools will be closed through Friday. Superintendent Colleen Palmer will make a determination about the following week and announce her decision on Friday.
