Weston Youth Services is offering several special programs for older children in town.
A sitter safety program, led by Julia Braden, is held on Tuesdays for students in grades 6-8.
With three five-week sessions to choose from, students will learn what makes a good baby-sitter, how to prepare themselves for the job, first aid and fire safety, infant and toddler child care, emergency situations, and child development.
For specific dates, visit westonyouthservices.org. Registration begins on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
A driver’s education program is also offered for those 16 and older through Weston Youth Services.
