This month, the Friends of the Weston Library is showing two feature movies at the Weston Public Library:

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (PG-13), Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m., stars Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt.

In the movie, from the director of Chocolat and The Cider House Rules, and the screenwriter of Slumdog Millionaire, a fisheries expert is asked to help realize a sheik’s vision by bringing fly-fishing to the desert.

The Hunger Games (PG-13), Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m., stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

Based on the first of the best-selling trilogy, Set in a future, where the government selects a boy and girl from each of the 12 districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place.

Both movies will be shown in the Community Room.
