Voters who wish to vote in a particular party primary should complete a voter registration card and mark “Party Change” at the top. These forms may be acquired by contacting the registrar of voters (westonct.gov) or the secretary of the state’s website at www.ct.gov.
May 14 is the deadline for an elector to change from one party to another and be eligible to vote in the new party’s primary for the Aug. 14 primary for state and federal offices.
If you are registered as an unaffiliated voter (not registered with any party) the deadline to change to a party by mail is Aug. 9. Deadline for in office in person is Aug. 13 by noon.
Aug. 14 will be Primary Day should one be held.
Nov. 6 is the general election — state and federal.
