A working fire spread to two stories of a Weston home Saturday night before firefighters were able to contain it.
The Weston Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of a structure fire at 8 Langner Lane on Saturday, April 19, around 8:42 p.m.
According to a statement issued by the fire department, the deputy chief arrived on scene and found a working fire on the first floor extending to the second floor. The first arriving engine crews quickly knocked the fire down and additional crews conducted overhaul operations.
The fire was brought under control quickly, and there were no reported injuries.
The Wilton Fire Department provided mutual aid at the scene and the Westport Fire Department provided station coverage.
The Weston Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
According to the Weston assessor’s records, the owner of record of the home is Elizabeth Mitchel.
