Women’s softball

The bats were busy at North House Field on Tuesday, July 10, and when the dust cleared No Mercy! (sponsored by Camelot Real Estate) captured its second win of the season over Peter’s Spirits, this time by a 14-12 score. The win was also the fourth straight for No Mercy!

The teams totaled 43 hits, including six extra base hits in the game.

Both sides traded runs for most of the contest, leading to nine lead changes in the game.

No Mercy! hammered Peter’s Spirits’ pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 12 RBI and six runs scored.

The top of the first featured Peter’s Spirits take an early lead, 1-0. No Mercy! answered by scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning to lead 5-1.

Peter’s Spirits brought home three runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the third.

No Mercy! finally managed to grab the lead for good after a strong sixth inning that brought in four runs.
