Forgetting Fame helps teen battling rare sarcoma

weston-sarcoma logoMichael Feliciano of Weston is using his musical talent to help a fellow Boy Scout, 15-year-old Brandon Zenevitch, who is battling a rare cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma.

Michael, bassist for local band Forgetting Fame, will be playing on behalf of the Sarcoma Foundation of America on Friday, June 14, at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown.

When Michael (he goes by Mikey), an Eagle Scout, found out about Brandon’s battle with this rare disease, he rallied his band to give Brandon their support and a special Shout Out at the June 14 event.

A Night Out at the Town Hall to Cure Sarcoma, an event to honor Brandon and to raise money to help him and his family, takes place from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

In addition to Forgetting Fame, there will be more entertainment, a huge auction, and food. Debra Simons, Connecticut State Chapter leader of the Sarcoma Foundation of America, will speak.

Tickets are $50 and are available online at curesarcoma.org. Special pricing options for students and seniors. No one under 13 is permitted, and those 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
