The Annual Georgetown Day Festival is set for Sunday, June 9, from noon to 6, rain or shine.
Those interested in being an exhibitor, chili chef, musician, performer, or volunteer on Georgetown Day may contact GVRI@optonline.net.
The event is sponsored by Georgetown Village Restoration, Inc., the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department, the Mark Twain Library, and the Georgetown Lions club.
The festival is held along Main Street in Georgetown. Close to 100 vendors will line the street selling everything from jewelry to clothing and artwork.
Local restaurants will also have booths selling a variety of food and local bands will be performing on multiple stages throughout the day.
The day features activities for adults as well as children, and includes a silent auction, a palate-warming chili cook-off, face painting, a beer tent and much more.
As part of the festival day, the Wilton Family Y and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce sponsor the Georgetown Gallop, a 5K race for both adults and children along Old Mill Road and ending at Main Street in Georgetown.
