On September 9, 2023, a two-stage Soyuz-2.1W rocket carrying a reconnaissance satellite was launched from the launch site of the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northwestern Russia. This is probably where you actually saw the re-entry of the rocket stage. I was currently in Swedish Lapland. Or was it a fuel bubble during the return? more: https://umiaq.de/Lappland.htm
