Store Fall 2022: Ganni: Back on the Spree

The new 158 square meter store site is exactly what Ganni makers have dreamed of. “I love Berlin, the city is full of culture, art and wonderful people. It is very diverse and always feels welcome, and that is exactly what we want to pass on to the people with Ganni. We have a very loyal community in Germany and I am delighted” Detty Rifstrup, co-founder and creative director of the label, comments Very much because we can share this with everyone.”

The store design comes from the makers of Ganni and is inspired by the living spaces of the founding couple, Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup. It aims to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The concept can be described as colourful, playful and love the details. Pedestals made from recycled plastic waste, interior shelves made from vintage pressed fabrics to upcycled Artek benches made from recycled Ganni fabrics combine with vintage vases and antique furniture to create a vibrant collection that provides the right setting for women’s clothing.

In addition to the colorful collections, the shop also has artwork by Berlin artist Isis Maria and a limited-edition espresso cup made by Sissy Tonya porcelain. A series of Berlin Smile T-shirts will also be on sale, limited to 40 pieces.

A few years ago, there were already Ganni stores in Germany, including Berlin and Frankfurt. According to media reports, the shops were closed in 2017. The company has not yet commented on the reasons when asked by TW. Ganni has offices in Copenhagen, London, Paris, New York and Shanghai and is present at more than 600 points of sale and sells through 37 flagship stores in Europe and the United States.
