Elena Keresi reached the final at the World Karate Championships in Budapest. After winning all three rounds in her 68kg group, the Argau woman also defeated Frenchwoman Alizée Agier (France) in the semi-finals. Now the battle for the World Cup gold medal will take place on Saturday against Irina Zaretska of Azerbaijan. Keresi, a four-time European champion, has never performed well at the World Cup. Her best result to date was a bronze medal in Paris in 2012.
