Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro: presenting the best new models soon

Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro: presenting the best new models soon

Xiaomi has announced a launch event that is now scheduled to take place on the 4th of October, even before the launch of the Pixel 7 (Pro) on the 6th of October! You can also see two new models here. Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro will be presented. Anyway, the rumors about the 200MP camera are looking intriguing and starting another ominous megapixel race.

Xiaomi 12T Pro is expected to have a 200MP camera – Xiaomi 12T with MediaTek processor

Let’s move briefly to the supposed hardware, which reads almost identical to the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Extreme, especially in the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 is used here, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Configurations with 256 GB or 12 GB of RAM are also planned. The large 6.67″ AMOLED screen delivers 120Hz including an LTPO panel and can even display Dolby Vision. The last was either in SonyCell phones or, for years, with the iPhone. A rarity for Android smartphones! By the way, the main sensor of the rear camera has a resolution of 200 megapixels, which should significantly improve image quality, at least according to current rumors. With 5000 mA, the model should also last a long time.

Xiaomi 12T takes a more ergonomic approach in some ways. According to leaks on the web, the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra is used, but it also offers a lot of performance. The screen is also equipped with AMOLED and 120 Hz. The rear camera, on the other hand, has “only” 108 megapixels and should technically come from the predecessor. When it comes to storage, the configuration options should be identical to the Pro model. The main differences lie mainly in the camera and processor.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro is said to be descended from the 12S Ultra. However, the latter did not appear in Europe.

The official press release on the matter sets the event for October 6, 2022. The broadcast can be followed live on YouTube or on the manufacturer’s website. Then we should also learn more about the prices of my nine Android phones. Previous bargains are no longer bargaining, because Xiaomi now also sees itself as a premium manufacturer in the high-end segment. It remains to be seen whether the new Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro models will also be more expensive or will take over the RRP of their predecessors.
