Tripadvisor rating: These are the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world

First of all: it’s loud on TripAdvisor If you want to visit the most beautiful beach in the world, you have to endure some “hardships”. Or travel by boat to a secluded cove. Otherwise, this sweet spot can only be accessed via stairs leading up steep slopes. We are talking about Baìa do Sancho, on the island of Fernando de Noronha in Brazil.

The archipelago is located about 354 kilometers off the coast of mainland Brazil, and is part of the state of Pernambuco. Visitors come to the islands by plane or boat. However, according to the reviews on Tripadvisor, it is well worth the effort and the trip. Last year, Baìa do Sancho finished seventh in the standings.

Three Caribbean beaches are in the top ten

The list of beaches is part of Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards, determined based on millions of reviews from travelers throughout 2022. Tripadvisor takes into account the quality and quantity of reviews when compiling the ranking.

The Caribbean rounded out the top 10 with three beaches this year, with Eagle Beach in Aruba having the highest score and second place. Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands ranks fifth. The famous Varadero beach in Cuba ranks ninth. Also, one of the beaches in the United States made it to the top 10 best beaches, which is Kaanapali Beach on the island of Maui in the US state of Hawaii.

Iceland, Sicily and Portugal

Europe also has three beaches in the top ten, but only two really invite you to take a dip. Fourth place went to Reynisfjara Beach in Vik, Iceland. It is ranked sixth on Praia da Falésia in Olhos de Agua, Portugal. In the south of Italy, and more specifically in Sicily, it has the eighth most beautiful beach in the world according to Tripadvisor. Namely, Spiaggia dei Conigli in Lampedusa.

Australia rounds out the top ten, third with Cable Beach in Broome in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The coastline extends over the Indian Ocean with 22 kilometers of beaches. Ranked 7th, Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island (Swarag Dweep) in India’s Andaman Islands is on the list.
