The king of the CHIP leaderboard: The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is convincing across the board

In the test, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max shows a very good screen, superior performance and long battery life. Apple also gave the new flagship a 48MP sensor for the main camera. The front camera also received a small update – autofocus. So really good selfies on the iPhone are even better.

Apple’s new A16 Bionic chipset guarantees excellent performance, which, combined with 6 GB of RAM, is easily enough for all everyday applications and applications – and of course for every current triple AAA smartphone game on maximum graphics settings.

The great battery life is once again great. The 4,323mAh battery easily lasts several days – with daily use. However, heavy consumption of social media and videos as well as intense gaming sessions can shorten the uptime.

In direct comparison, daylight photos taken with the main camera in “standard mode” are almost identical to those on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and lab measurements don’t show any significant improvements in image quality. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max once again takes pictures with very well-balanced dynamics, as long as the differences in brightness are not too severe. The new main camera shows its strengths especially in the ProRAW format.

iPhone 14 Pro Max also features a redesigned notch. The small black bar that houses the front camera and FaceID sensors has moved a bit more inside the screen. Players can be controlled, for example, as a “dynamic island” or directions from Apple Maps are displayed. It’s a smart idea and also practical in some cases – especially if you’re using music apps or navigation services.
