The 29th edition of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, which takes place from January 20 to 28, bears the theme of Middle Eastern Cuisine. Guest chefs visiting chefs at partner hotels come from the Near and Middle East – or have (culinary) roots there.

The Turkish chef is at Waldhaus Sils Moses Dagdevierne Known from the series Chef’s Table on the Netflix series, he is a guest star of Chef Jero Borstein. In his restaurant Çiya in Istanbul, he has been serving dishes since 1987, the recipes he collected from chefs and housewives from all regions of the country.

at the Saratz . hotel Silvina Rogue Chef Carrie Walker welcomed her. The Bulgarian-Turkish chef built Omnia Restaurant in Dubai as a co-owner and is now considered one of the leading wellness chefs in the Gulf region.

Athanasius Kargatzidis A guest of Mauro Taover at the Kulm Hotel. Born in Greece and raised in Canada, he regularly references his origins with his modern kitchen at Baron Restaurant in Beirut.

The rising star of Israeli gastronomy stays with Chef Gian Nicola Colucci at the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski: Tomer Valley. His restaurant, George & John at The Drisco Hotel in Tel Aviv, is one of the most famous in the country with its modern Israeli cuisine.

Raz Rahav Chefs at the Carlton Hotel with Chef Fabrizio Crespi. In 2016, he opened OCD in Tel Aviv, the name that stands for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Served to 19 guests in the evening, the 19-course menu combines Eastern Mediterranean techniques and haute cuisine with recipes from both Jewish and Israeli culinary heritage.
