It’s been more than two years since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan left the UK royal family as senior members to start a new life in California. The Servants: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown now reveals in detail how the so-called Megaset ended.

Prince Harry wanted clarification to come up with an email

The two are said to have been unhappy with the strict rules and life as members of the royal family. In order to quickly clear things up, Harry may have just written an email to his father, Prince Charles, from his vacation in Canada. The couple is said to have desired a quick and uncomplicated settlement. The content of the email was that the two were unhappy and wanted to immigrate to the United States. Two years later, Meghan reportedly complained about not being paid for the royal tour of Australia.

Of course, Prince Harry didn’t deliver either: He is said to fear becoming “irrelevant” once Prince George, the son of his brother Prince William, reaches adulthood. He also appeared to have avoided talking to William about his and Meghan’s retirement at all costs, fearing that the press would find out details about it.
