Frank Rosen: Star Chef Showcases Bild’s American Favorites | entertainment

For him, the United States is now more than a land of unlimited calorie opportunities…

Does the Super Bowl make you hungry for America? Star chef Frank Rosen, 56, is currently driving 6,000 kilometers across the states for a documentary (Roadtrip America, Thursday, 8:15 p.m., Kabel1) with two-star restaurants.

“From a culinary perspective, the United States is only a developing country at first glance,” Rosen tells BILD. “If you look to the right and left of the highway, you’ll spot things that deserve informed treatment.”

More than half of Americans are overweight. upward direction. Rosen: “The trick is not to indulge in excess. As the son of a fried potato stand owner, I grew up with a sucker for french fries.”

He continues, “Anyone who is fundamentally sincere in their relationship to nutrition can cheat their taste buds with junk food. Those who exercise properly can treat themselves to freedom for one US day a month.”

The star chef is organizing America’s Food Day for BILD (Recipe for Four). Vegan cornbread, vegan cheese noodles, meat in a bun. Possible for just over ten euros per person. Rosin explains the exact setup here.

to prepare: Peel the onion and cut it into thin rings. Fry them in a frying pan with a little oil until transparent, then remove. Heart the pepper and cut it into thin slices. Also cut the meat into thin slices (2 mm thick), put in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire and soy sauce and mix well. Brown the meat in a little oil in a hot frying pan.
