Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Deputy Secretary of State for Parliamentary Relations at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Secretary of State for Europe Leo Docherty.
According to information received from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of AZERTAC, the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Britain, prospects for expanding cooperation in various fields and the current regional situation were discussed at the meeting.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, investment, trade, transportation, education, “green energy” and in the humanitarian field.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current status of the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, negotiations on a peace agreement, and various aspects of the peaceful protests on Lachin Street.
For his part, Leo Docherty said that his country is interested in developing bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He added that the United Kingdom is ready to provide support in this direction.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on other issues of common concern.
