Italian League: Inter squandered a 2-0 lead

Milan took advantage of its rival Inter’s mistake and took the lead in the Italian League. The team consisting of national player Noah Okafor (until the age of 46) won 1-0 over newly promoted Genoa and pushed the Champions League finalists to second place. In a difficult final stage, Christian Pulisic (87th place) achieved his fourth consecutive victory. AC goalkeeper Mike Minian received a red card after a foul (90+8). After Milan had already made five substitutions, striker Olivier Giroud entered the goal in the final minutes. Then the French world champion from 2018 held on to the success, as Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez was forced to leave the field with a red-yellow card (90 + 13). Inter had previously lost a two-goal lead with goalkeeper Yann Sommer in a 2-2 draw in Switzerland’s duel against Bologna with Dan Ndoye, Remo Freuler and Michel Aebischer. At first, it looked like the obvious after early goals from Francisco Acerbe (11) and Lautaro Martinez (13). But Bologna responded with goals from Riccardo Orsolini (19th penalty kick) and Joshua Zirkzee (52nd).

Spanish League: A wonderful success for Sevilla

Djibril Sow scored for the first time in his ninth match for Sevilla. The midfielder, who moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to Andalusia in the summer, paved the way for his team to earn a point against Rayo Vallecano with a goal shortly after the end of the first half. By the 26th minute, Sevilla trailed 2-0. After Sue’s goal, the Europa League winners pushed for an equaliser. In the 96th minute, Youssef En-Nesyri sparked euphoria in the stands with a 2-2 victory. Despite picking up points late on, Sevilla, in 13th place, continue to play below their expectations. Meanwhile, Real Madrid maintained their lead in the league by beating Osasuna 4-0, with Jude Bellingham scoring twice. Real Madrid still has a two-point lead over surprisingly strong Girona, who won 1-0 away to Cádiz.

English Premier League: Tottenham at the top

Tottenham Hotspur temporarily took control at the top of the table despite being outnumbered throughout the entire half. Tottenham won 1-0 over newly promoted Luton Town. Micky van de Ven scored the golden goal (52), while Yves Bissouma received the yellow card in stoppage time of the first half (45 + 4). The winner of the derby clash between Arsenal and Manchester City could edge them out again on Sunday, and a draw would see Tottenham stay at the top. Manchester United secured a late 2-1 win over Brentford thanks to two goals from Scott McTominay in stoppage time (93’/97′).
