BLANKENHAYEN (dpa) – England can go into the European Championship semi-finals with the best possible squad. In the final training session in Blankenhain, manager Gareth Southgate made all 26 of his first-team regulars, including captain Harry Kane, available for lunch. The 30-year-old Kane was substituted in Saturday’s win over Switzerland with cramps but appears to have recovered well since then.

The Three Lions take on the Netherlands in Dortmund on Wednesday (9pm/ARD and MagentaTV). Centre-back Marc Guehi is expected to return to the first team after his yellow card suspension to replace Ezri Konsa. Southgate is unlikely to provide fresh impetus in attack with Cole Palmer or Anthony Gordon.

What is it, Trippier?

It is unclear whether Southgate will field his side in his usual 4-2-3-1 or 3-4-2-1 formation against Switzerland. Returning Luke Shaw is ready to start after a long-term injury. “Of course I think I’m fit and ready to play for 90 minutes. It’s up to Gareth to decide now,” the defender said. So far, Kieran Trippier has taken on the left-back role at the European Championships.

England travel west after training with Blankenhain. In the evening, Southgate and Kane spoke at a press conference on the semi-final pitch in Dortmund.
