A Journey Through the “Old West”.

With SUVs, steam trains, quarter horses, mustangs, and hiking boots, Ernie Meyer embarks on an adventure through the true “Old West” and a wonderland of wilderness. It passes through enchanting landscapes and western towns and 16 national parks and national monuments. Along with three bright Las Vegas biker girls, they ride their Harley Davidsons through Saguaro National Park to Old Town Tucson.

Through Monument Valley

Ernie Meyer rides with Navajo Indians on their mustangs through Monument Valley in the states of Arizona and Utah, looking like a living picture at sunset. From the gold rush town of Durango, Colorado, the group travels over “Rocky Mountain High” to Silverton on a nostalgic steam train surrounded by clouds of smoke. He spends Saturday evenings at the Western Saloon in Durango, where he enjoys “Saturday Night Fever” with Jack Daniels, country music and dancing.

at Buffalo Bill’s Westerntown

At Buffalo Bill’s Westerntown Cody, Ernie Meyer sees exciting “Cody-Night-Rodeo” action. He then continues his epic journey north towards Canada in an SUV. A country song about a “lonely dreamer on the highway” plays on the car radio. In the Bighorn Mountains on the border of Wyoming and Montana, he visits a large cattle ranch with 12,000 head of cattle and 20 real cowboys, currently in branding season. Ernie Meyer learns what a real cowboy’s day is like at sunrise at 4:30 a.m. with two cowgirls and six cowboys.

Breathtaking natural beauty

One of the highlights of the itinerary is definitely a hike in Yellowstone National Park, the oldest and probably the most beautiful, and through nearby Grand Teton National Park with its breathtaking natural beauty. Yellowstone Park is not only known for its waterfalls and geysers, but also for its incredible wildlife. On the adventure, Ernie Meyer unexpectedly encounters bears, moose, mountain goats, elk and 4,000 bison.

Finale at Waterton National Park

The final leg of the trip takes Ernie Meyer through Montana – “Big Sky Country” – to Glacier National Park with blue lakes reflecting green mountains. The finale of the trip is an overnight stay at the enchanting Prince of Wales Hotel in Alberta, Canada in the “Far North” of Waterton National Park.
