Confusion in English supermarkets over YouTuber drinks

When it comes to selling a drink created by two prominent YouTubers, it has England Disturbing scenes ensued. Videos on social networks showed long queues in front of the gates. Children and teenagers in particular pushed each other as they tried to grab one of the bottles.

At a shop in Essex, youngsters jumped on chests of bottles in pursuit of the coveted item. “Every customer Aldi Bought Prime,” a short video showed several bottles on the checkout belt.

Not every customer gets a drink

Many buyers left empty-handed. Aldi apologized for this but insisted the demand was too high. Each customer was only allowed to buy one bottle of each flavor, broadcaster Sky News reported on Friday.

Aldi had announced on Thursday that it would sell the bottles for £1.99 each. The offer is limited. Hundreds inquired online about branches and opening hours. Single bottles have since gone on sale online for thousands of pounds.

YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI have a combined total of nearly 40 million subscribers. At first, they were considered rivals. “That’s what happens when competitors come together as brothers and business partners,” they now jointly promote the drink. (dpa/sbi)
