Investing.com – Canada stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday.
At the end of Toronto, it was down 0.69%.
Best performances of the season are presented Oceana Gold Corp (TSX: ), which was up 4.55% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.30. Meanwhile, New Inc (TSX: ) added 4.44% or 0.04 points to end at 0.94. Westome Gold Mines Limited. (TSX: ) was up 4.37% or 0.40 points to 9.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shopify Inc (DSX: ), which fell 13.63% or 6.42 points to trade at 40.69. Nuvey Corp (TSX: ) declined 7.66% or 3.33 points to end at 40.12. Canada Goose Holdings Inc (TSX: ) declined 6.90% or 1.68 points to 22.68.
The Toronto Stock Exchange ended flat at 103, down 556 to 440.
The S&P/TSX, which measures options, rose 3.89% to 23.21.
Gold futures for August delivery were down 0.21%, or $3.55 to $1.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, oil for September delivery was down 1.48%, or 1.43%, at $95.27 a barrel, while the October futures contract was down 0.70%, or 0.70%, at $99.49 a barrel.
It was flat 0.23% to 0.78, while rose 0.81% to 0.77.
The futures rose 0.66% to 107.06.
