British Prime Minister expressed support for Taiwan

Taipei — Nov. 16, 2022. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said at the G20 summit in Bali that the status quo in the Taiwan Strait should not be changed unilaterally. Britain is ready to support Taiwan. The State Department today thanked Chung for its support of Taiwan.

Taiwan and the UK share the same core values ​​of democracy, freedom, rule of law and human rights, the ministry said. Taiwan will continue to work with like-minded countries to ensure cross-strait security.

The G20 summit is a gathering of the world’s 20 most important economies, including the leaders of the United States and China.
