Börse Express – MSA Safety opens expanded, modernized manufacturing facility in Bristol

The investment expands production and service capabilities in the field of fire protection clothing

MSA Safety Incorporated (NYSE: MSA), the global leader in firefighter safety equipment and technology, today opened a new, expanded and state-of-the-art protective clothing manufacturing facility for firefighters in Yate, Bristol, UK. The updated facility provides new and improved workspaces for MSA employees, as well as much-needed space for future growth and international expansion. The building, which opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning, makes the MSA Bristol campus in Yate a global center of excellence in the design, production, and service of fire protection clothing.

“We are very pleased to open this expanded and improved facility in Bristol,” said Jason Trainor, General Manager of MSA Global Fire Services Products to improve the work environment for our employees and visitors.

The new MSA Bristol campus in Yate combines central offices, a cutting unit, a western service center and an international distribution center. The modern campus of the company’s 153 highly qualified employees will provide an improved working environment and excellent transportation links, and will serve as a hub for all MSA Bristol activities.

MSA Safety acquired Bristol Uniforms in January 2021. The company has ambitious growth plans and is making significant investments in the business to strengthen its facilities and range of firefighter apparel.

Historically, the MSA Bristol Central offices and Western Service Center were based at our headquarters in Staple Hill, Bristol. However, we have outgrown this site and need room to expand,” said Mr. Trainor. The Yate campus has improved offices and meeting rooms, modern and comfortable rest areas and expanded parking facilities for staff. It is also where the latest products were introduced by MSA to all visitors to the facility. MSA Bristol PPE is recognized worldwide and we are investing in the future. “
