Friends of the Weston Library plan events throughout December

Friends of the Weston Library are presenting several programs at the Weston Public Library in December.

Thursday, Dec. 13: Thursday Morning Book Club, 10:30 a.m. This month’s Thursday morning Book Club will be discussing local author Keith Richards’ memoir, Life.

Wednesday Evening Book Club will not be meeting in December.

Saturday, Dec. 15: A Charles Keating Christmas Special, 7 p.m. Following a sold out performance in May, actor Charles Keating of Weston returns to the library for a very special performance of holiday readings, including Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales and other family favorites. The family-friendly evening of entertainment includes light holiday refreshments.

Proceeds support technology at the library. Adults, $20; children 12 and under, $10. Space is limited and tickets are available at the library on a first come, first served basis.

Wednesday, Dec. 19: Movie Night Feature Film:  The Bourne Legacy (PG-13), 7 p.m. Based on Robert Ludlum’s novels, centered on a new hero whose stakes have been triggered by the events of the previous three films. Starring Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton. Free popcorn and water.

Family Film Week

All movies start at noon. Admission is free. Bring the kids and a lunch. Caregiver must remain with children.

Wednesday, Dec. 26: Brave (PG)

Thursday, Dec. 27: Cinderella (G)

Friday, Dec. 28: ParaNorman (PG)
